Get 20 Marks in NEET OPTICS in Just 32 Min

For the medical entrance examination, which is commonly known as NEET exam, we see that optics is a very very important part of Physics. From this topic only, we get minimum four questions and at times five per year ,that makes 16 to 20 marks. Now you can understand is 16 or  20 marks very important and will give you a big lead to get a proper score in Physics.

Here we produce 4 videos, 2 for ray optics and one for wave optics, and final the fourth for previous year questions. We have covered all the concepts of optics which is required in this examination.  Please go through one by one and you will remember all the concepts that you  studied in class 12th, we have taken all important points used in this examinations namely medical entrance examination. The first video gives details of mirror formula, reflection on curved surface, refraction on plane surface,  refraction on curved surface and also formula for apparent depth along with basics of Prism. All the formulas required in examination are given in this video , you are requested to note down all the formulas from the video so that, you can attempt the questions easily.

In the second video it is all about the optical instruments, while some part of prism is there, action of prism is discussed in the previous video. Please understand concept of objective, eye piece  and least distance of distinct vision which is termed as LDDV. After this is the topic of wave optics, in which again all details are given, remember most important topic in wave optics is interference. Now basics of interference is important and is discussed in theory, coherent sources are discussed to give you the concept of sustained and unsustained interference. In this topic also you must understand the phase difference, relation with the path difference.

Intensity in wave optics is directly proportional to the square of amplitude. Please remember interference, differentiation and polarization are the phenomena which confirm nature of light. Only polarization confirm the transverse wave nature of light. You must remember that sound waves does not undergo polarization because they are longitudinal waves

In polarization, we must understand between unpolarized light and polarised light. When unpolarised passes through polarizer, its intensity becomes half, when another polarizer also used after the first one, the final intensity is given by Maulus law. We  talk about the last topic,  resolution of optical instruments. Formulas for both the  microscope and telescope are given and explained . In the formula of telescope remember that D is not LDDV , but the diameter of lens or aperture. But in all the cases resolving power is inversely proportional to the wavelength. And that is the reason electron microscope has very very high resolution.

At last 5 questions of 2018 and also four questions of 2017 are discussed.
