Here we start to know that the composition of JEE mains. It has in total 90 questions carrying 4 marks each.
Simply it means that 360 Marks in total and 120 Marks per subject
Clearly we have 30 Questions per subject.
Now from the class point of view OR syllabus we see that Class Xi and Class XII carry almost equal weightage, that means Half of the questions are from class Xi and balance half from Class XII. Though this is approximation only, we get change by 5 to 10% here and there.
Now coming to the difficulty level. The paper setter BOARD for JEE mains is CBSE. So the paper is planned mostly as per CBSE syllabus guidelines. Now most of the state boards are also following the CBSE syllabus, so even you are from any board, the basic syllabus will be the same. And for the difficulty level people are very much confused due to 12 lack student applying.
Past years have shown that in ANY subject roughly 35% to 45% questions are very similar to CBSE boards level questions. How ever other state boards, like Punjab and Himachal etc where students are used to see ONLY set pattern of questions without knowing the basics, will have problem n facing such questions. Properly DONE Just NCERT will solve these questions.
Second level of questions which can be stated as application based DO require some basic knowledge of NCERT level but uses your application SKILLS, these type of questions consist of about again 30 % to 35% of the count of 90 Questions.
Lastly 20% to 35% WILL be SLIGHTLY above NCERT level. But my post is to inform if we prepare just EASY and MODERATE questions we can easily attempt about 65% MARKS. If we leave scope of some negative marking here and there still with 60%, YOU are sure, to qualify for JEE ADVANCE and secondly your seat in state NIT is confirmed.

These 12 Question will give a confidence to understand that getting 40% in JEE is VERY EASY. Next with this when you try to do Next moderate Questions, You will come to know that getting 80% is reasonable with your efforts!
