NEET 2020 How to plan marks per subject so as to get confirmed seat.

Dear friends

We are facing lockdown for quite a long time, in this new scenario I am sure the studies of all students have also been affected. The new date for the examination of NEET 2020 has been expected to be on 26th July 2020.  So now all the sincere students should prepare to get the maximum output on July End. During the lockdown period, the, methodology for the studies have changed quite a bit. Lots of students, who have gone out to study are back in home and some students, who are already in their station places also face some amount of uncertainty. Now all students will be appearing for exam.

Let us now examine number of seats after the NEET 2020 exams. It was expected, government will be increasing the seats, but with the new scenario of COVID 19 at present, all decisions are deferred.   We have to live with whatever was available after NEE 2019, that means we have a total of 70000 seat MBBS and around 32000  BDS seats. That makes us total available seats to be around 1 lakh. Now let us discuss about the government seats in colleges, out of 67000 MBBS seats there are only 32000 seats for MBBS in government medical colleges. The BDS seats are much less, there are only 3000 government BDS seats among the total 32000 BDS seats .

Coming back to total government seats 32000 understand there are 5000 seats which are from all India quota that is termed as AIQ MBBS and other 27000 are with state quota. To be in AIQ we have to be in national rank of about 4000 only. And other state government seats are 27000 for that you have to in state merit to avail the seat.  Required marks for such seats depend on state to state. We have also around 1100 seats of AIIMS which are to be filled with NEET exam only.

Now let us try to understand what minimum marks are required for various seats.

For AIQ seas your aim should be minimum 600 + Marks

For State seats  your aim should be minimum 530 + Marks

To qualify the NEET you only  have to score  200 + Marks

Let us give the breakup of marks, You very well know that the exam consists of 720 Marks from 180 Questions.  Biology as expected is to have maximum weightage of 360 marks, i.e. 90 questions. For Physics and Chemistry you have 45 question each of 4 marks. There is negative mark for every wrong answer.

Here is the detail of subject wise marks

For AIQ quota

BIOLOGY                 330 +

CHEMISTRY             150 +

PHYSICS                   140 +

This is based on average of years, if you are good in any subject and score more that this target, you are in much better position.

Now for state quota

BIOLOGY                 300 +

CHEMISTRY             125 +

PHYSICS                   115 +

So in AIQ quota you get 590+ and in state quota you get 540+.
